Black & White Show

Black & White Show
Opening/Gallery Debut: Saturday, December 6, 6-9pm
Masquerade Ball: Saturday, December 27
276 E. Congress, Tucson

PLAY, a local artists collective, is opening a new multi-purpose art venue by the same name this weekend on the Congress strip. A mixture of hip and homespun, PLAY combines creative fun and social consciousness by encouraging collaboration between artists of all disciplines, art education, family activities and general cultural improvisation. The space itself, furnished by Dinnerware, will serve as a gallery for emerging and established artists, performance space and anti-consumable boutique with artisan made items for everyday living. I’ll have some black and white art in the gallery show*, plus, the one-of-a-kind clothing and painted shoes you know and love from my Etsy store** will be for sale in their boutique!

* Due to some much-needed slacking over Thanksgiving break (the dayjob has been kicking my ass for the last month or so), I turned in some old paintings and crappy printouts of new art, nonetheless, the benevolent gatekeepers of PLAY were kind enough to let me participate in their debut show.
** Etsy items available at PLAY have been deactivated.
